Assalamualaikum,
2016 will be ending soon, and with that, it means I have one semester left to graduate and get my bachelor’s degree. That means I’m this much closer to being a real adult, of officially being a ex-MARA student, of not doing whatever it takes to just finish my studies in a major that I no longer have the passion for.
And, of course, it also means that I’m so much more closer to actually having to figure out what I want to do with my life, which, at this point, I am clueless.
Anyhow. I forgot to put this up but last week, Sean and I attended a Christmas concert in Indianapolis, and guess whose concert it was? DAVID ARCHULETA. Being a big Archie fan and considering how he is one of the few artists that I love (other than Backstreet Boys and Jesse McCartney), I told myself that I need to at least go to one of their concerts while I’m here in the US.
And I am SO SO SO GLAD that I decided to go to this one. Granted, I had to skip two days of classes for this (it was in Indianapolis on a Monday night, so I skipped Monday and Tuesday as we slept in UIUC for two nights before the concert, was easier that way), but it was worth it. Nathan and David were friendly as hell, and David was just adorable. I probably took like 300-400 pictures on my phone, and bought one of his CDs and a t-shirt for keepsakes. We also bought the VIP tickets (which is how we get to meet him before the concert and took pictures and all that), and IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. They were super awesome and oh my, I could listen to them sing over and over again.
Oh, on a different note. It finally snowed in Madison last weekend. Finally, Wisconsin, took you long enough to actually snow. It snowed early Sunday morning (say, roughly around 3am?) and throughout the whole day, and it was snowing pretty heavily earlier in the day so obviously it was a photoshoot opportunity for all.
I have a little over a week of classes left before I sit for my final exams, and then it’s off to Dublin for a week-long trip with my family. And I should be studying, but somehow I don’t feel like studying (as always). -.- Oh well, I’ll get to it one day, don’t worry.
Better be off. I have 20 minutes left to my overnight shift and I need to go off and scan my Econ textbook so I can actually study. Until next time, stay awesome!
