Hi all!
Now, I am not an audiophile (according to my husband!). But my close friends can attest to how I like to listen to music or put on Disney movies or anime in the background as I work or study. When I was a student and living in a studio apartment alone, I’m used to having music playing in the background almost all the time.
However, living in a studio with Aiman, it’s been a bit of a struggle to juggle my work from home with Aiman’s online classes. I can’t really blast music loudly, so having a comfortable pair of earphones is definitely important for me.
Sudio, a Swedish audio technology company, has recently released their latest wireless earphone, Nio. I had the privilege to try a pair of the black Sudio Nio for myself, so here’s my personal take on it.
Sudio Nio – comfortable & stylish.
The first thing that came to my mind when I unboxed Sudio Nio was “Dang, I really like the packaging!“. And if you know me, I am a real sucker for minimalistic and simple style, which Nio definitely is.
Unlike the other wireless earphone that I have, Nio is definitely very easy to set up and connect to. It is also comfortable and includes four different wing sizes. This allows you to find the right fit for you. I personally like my earphones without the wingtips as my ears are quite small, but that’s just me!
The Nio charging & carrying case feels exclusive and elegant. Its small size fits in all of my handbags, which makes it easy to bring around everywhere.
Sudio Nio comes in four colors – black, white, green, and sand. This is perfect for you to choose whichever suits your personality best. I opted for the black one since it’s simple and matches my phone casing. Though I’ve got to say – I should have probably gone for the green one since it looks amazing!
Nio offers up to 5.5 hours of playtime that can be extended up to 20 hours with the charging case. Nio also comes with a short USB-C cable for you to charge the case.
My personal take on the Sudio Nio?
My main concern about using a wireless earphone is how sensitive the touch panels would be. From my previous experience with another wireless earphone, it was too sensitive that sometimes the music would accidentally pause/stop when my hijab inner touches the touch panel as I turn/move my head.
With Nio, I can work and exercise with my hijab on and not having my music interrupted when I move around.
A caveat to this is that I also can’t control the music/volume while I’m wearing my hijab (unless I wear my hijab in a loose-style without the inner). However, that’s not a big concern of mine, considering how I can easily change volume/song with my laptop or phone anyway. And considering how I tend to put the same songs on repeat, the inability to change songs when wearing my hijab doesn’t really bother me much 🙂
Overall I really enjoy using the Nio – it’s very easy and comfortable, and I love its sleek and minimalist look.
